Incremental Changes After Trauma

What should I do?
DO I take that leap of faith and go and talk to that person?
DO I go to that class where there will be people that I will NEED to interact with?
SHOULD I buy that item from the grocery store shelf? Or that brand new shirt that is on sale?
WHAT do I wear when I meet that person I just met and agreed to meet for a small talk?
WHAT will the therapist think of me when I come into my meeting with them? That I am weird and will they believe when I tell them my story?
These are just a few of the many questions that can go through your head as you navigate life after that traumatic event or events.
The bigger question is not all those questions that pop into your head, but the first and the most important question of all.
SHOULD I DO SOMETHING? Do I take a risk and try something new???
Is this new EXPERIENCE something that will bring me more joy or cause me pain?
Is this new experience going to cause me to have another traumatic event in my life or can this experience be the beginning of, maybe, some more positive experiences in my life?
So the hardest thing is not the actual experience, but the first small (and very important) step of can I change my mindset enough to go and do something different?
How badly do you want to change your life after your traumatic event that you are willing to take that risk?
These are some of the questions you want to ask yourself and then just for it!!!
